John McLernon is President of McLernon Consultants Ltd., a private consulting company. He is Honorary Chairman and Co-Founder of the Colliers Macaulay
Nicolls Group of Companies, of which he was Chief Executive Officer and Chairman for 25 years. He is also Chairman of Village Farms International Inc., a public
entity, as well as a director of British Columbia Railway, British Columbia Lottery Corporation, Canadian Urban Limited and Mission Hill Family Estate.
Carl Vanderspek
Carl Vanderspek is founder, sole shareholder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lions Gate Industries Inc., the company that owns Lions Gate Trailers Ltd.
which is involved with the rental, leasing, repairs and sales of semi trailers across Canada. Mr. Vanderspek received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the
University of British Columbia. He is a Chartered Accountant and has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia for 44 years.
Mr. Vanderspek is past Chairman of the B.C. Chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization and the current Treasurer of the B.C. Chapter of the World Presidents’ Organization.
Hugh Smythe
Hugh Smythe retired from Intrawest ULC in 2009, after a life-long career in the ski industry, culminating with 20 years as President of
Intrawest’s Resort Operations Group. He was instrumental in the growth of Intrawest from a single resort in 1986 to its position in the mid-2000’s
as operator of one of the world’s largest collections of destination mountain resorts. Over the years he held director positions with a number of corporate and community organizations.
Mr. Smythe was an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization and is now a member of the World Presidents’ Organization.
